Education
Education, the process of furthering the intellect of one's own knowledge, is highly beneficial in broadening the horizon of where a business path may lead. To grasp the fundamentals of a business' functionality, at its core, is to properly account for the financial activity that is being generated. An account of this historical data will demonstrate management's success and failures in the policies and procedures that have been implemented for all phases of activity. In reviewing the past, one can obtain a greater understanding of which future direction the business must take in order to succeed. However, to achieve true business success, is to also understand the nature of the political system, whether it be a local, state, federal, or now an ever-pressing global system, in how it is incorporated into a free enterprise economy or a communist regime. As a business grows, so does the need of accountability, specialization of certain skills, and a governing structure. The course work required for such a solid foundation begins with accounting and an understanding of the political systems.
My profesional career includes course work in the areas of Bachelor's of Business Administration with a Major in Accountancy and a Minor in Political Science. Post graduation, additional graduate level management level classes were taken. Other self directed learning activities that have also been acquired foster my personal vaule of education and learning. Short term future learning goals are to obtain a Certificate of Associate Project Management and prepare for a graduate degree in education or industrial psychology. This will support a career focus of faciliating corporate learning activities for leadership development.
