Other Accomplishments


Since the beginning of employment age, many learning opportunities have been sought over a vast number of employers.  This has allowed a very fluid understanding of organizational design and structures of experiencing models that worked efficiently and effectively and those that were lagging a few additional steps. 

 

Listed below are noteworthy business activities related to organizational design, development, and management that have been performed over a period of time:

 

  • Created Young Adult Fellowship outreach group and community groups for two local non-profit special interest organizations - Cokesbury United Methodist Church (2009-2010), Grace Community Church (2003-2004). 
  • Organizational design for non-profit to consist of interpretation of the general functions of the entity based upon the models of Saddleback Valley and Willow Creek Community Churches – known to be the largest and managerial sound religious organizations. This provided the frame work to understand business activities for a non-profit religious start-up community known as Sunrise Community Church to include but not limited to duties as basic human resource management, oversee legal and liability issues, team role coordination, purpose descriptions for team members, information technology research, budgeting, managed financial records using Peachtree Accounting Software and Membership Plus.     • Facilitated team implementation in nonprofits for administrative activities and meeting centers for setup/design pertaining to linking sound, music, vocal and video personnel and using PowerPoint presentations and MIDI music files.
    • Articulated a CIA (Church-In-Action) community service outreach project for non profit group with an appointed coordinator modeled after the Servant Evangelism concept developed by Vineyard Church.
    • Proactive role in stream lining the restructuring and reflection phase that consist of organizational strategy and development loopholes found in organizations for leadership team. (Click here for Appendix 5: Organizational Theory for Non-Profit Organizations).
    • Web Page coordinator and implementer with a non profit group to utilize a third party developer, Chris Catron Creations (http://chriscatroncreations.tripod.com).
  • Researched unreconciled credit card transactions on Millennium software, Excel and Access for Fortune 500 vendors to assist in implementation of the reconciliation process of two private label credit card merchants two weeks ahead of budget - Associates Bank (1997).
  • Implemented formal accounting procedures for new partnership set-up to manage the $100K financial operations while coordinating the implementation of accounts receivable from daily work logs into QuickBooks for professional generated statements and accurate computed balances to monitor cash flow and determine the amount uncollectible on past due accounts - Farmer's Lawn Care, LLP (1996 - 1997).
    • Implemented the Payroll Module from QuickBooks for greater reporting accuracy while processing software system upgrades from QuickBooks V3.0 to QuickBooks 99 Pro for partnership.
  • Educated to understand the purchasing habits for tourism and consumer markets - Three Bears Gift Shop (1992 - 1994).
  • Received training in interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service - CompUSA (2004).
  • Learned the process of visuals and inventory replenishment for marketing purposes - JC Penny's (2002).
  • Experienced the process to execute shipping/receiving requests from catalogue orders - Colonial Corporation, a JC Penny's warehouse affiliate (Summer, 1991).
